At the $500 price I assumed you got wheels too. Even without the wheels you got a very good deal as is still worth about $300. The only catch is in order to resale the bike at a good price if you want is you will likely need to find a nice vintage wheel set with with Campy hubs or part it out. Myself I would just find a nice basic wheel set and keep as a nice vintage rider.
