Shaking down the Miyata 1000 after fitting it with 38mm Paselas in preparation for a 4- or 5-day trip later this month that will be somewhere between a gravel tour and a bikepack--possibly including an ascent of 3,420' East Mountain, via the abandoned Air Force road. The Suntour AG rear works very nicely with the 38 tooth freewheel cog. A shout-out to Lascauxcaveman for the RD and Vintage_Cyclist for the 47-tooth chainring, which perfected my half-step gearing.
This was on a woods road no more than a mile from my house--somehow I had never been there before despite living here for close on to 40 years.
