NBC Gold - extra info on side bars when using browser

Have any of you others with NBCgold watched the broadcast with your browser on your PC or Mac? They have the bottom third and the top right third of the display allowing you to view extra info while watching the video of the tour. Typically I put the route profile on the right and it shows the positions of the riders. You can also zoom on the route profile or map and get more detail and a truer or less exaggerated profile or course.

Also, the bottom section will give you the rider list, new feeds and also map and profile depending on what is selected. I tend to leave it on news during the race as you sometimes will get info about events on the course before the announcer get around to it.

They did this a couple years ago too.... I think for the Veulta and a few others. It was a little buggy then. I thought they didn't use it last year, but maybe I missed it somehow.

It'd be nice if the app on Amazon allowed this. But it doesn't. At least I've not figured out how to make it display that. My wife and son like to watch the NBCSN version with Phil. So we'll put that version on the TV and I'll watch the add free version on my laptop. With earbuds in one ear, I've gotten quite used to listening to both at the same time.

Usually I stay synced up at the same distance, but sometimes I sneak ahead and peek. So far I resisted going any further than 1 km to the finish until they get to the same place.

Any others of you liking this extra info they have?
