apparently somebody liked the 600EX group better than they liked the bike, because they swapped out every component on the bike, from the crankset to the headset. Somewhat of a bright spot, the only one, they swapped the shimano 600EX derailleurs for a set of suntour superbe pro derailleurs in nice shape. The crankset went to 500 ex exage, the brakes went to weinmann 405s

the shifters went to modolo "carbon fiber" and the headset went to whatever this mess is

stem and bars have been swapped as well. It seems to be in decent shape overall aside from all or most of the good components being swapped out for junk, trying to decide if it would be better off to part this one out, the frame is too big for me, I'm thinking if I tried to gather the parts to bring it back I would lose money or just break even. Any thoughts or suggestions would be appreciated. By the way your bike is awesome
I love the way the bike rides and is the highest quality bike i own to date. If you are going to keep it , i would fix it up however you want to. The catalog said it weighed 22 lbs when new. Thats not too shabby. I am still out on the Biopace chainrings. That may be the only swap in the future. So far i like them but time will tell.
