So one night I stopped at my bank to hit up the ATM for some money. And I get back in the car and I hear the unmistakeable sound of the starter drive locking onto the flywheel. I get out my crescent wrench and open the bonnet.
The guy parked next to me says, "Wait - this is a pre-67? Here's what you do. Put it in 4th, but leave the handbrake on" So I do, and he starts pushing on the bonnet, rocking the car forward and back, and then, *SPROING!!!*, and it starts right up.
Sweet! Gotta love it. We learned a lot on those things.
