Makes sense that they would want you to stick to the reservation. I can't imagine a scenario where I would just show up without making ro changing a reservation.

As for showing up without a bike reservation, I wouldn’t risk it, especially on popular services like the Capitol Limited during busy GAP riding season. And the Vermonter has only 3 bike spaces.
