I definitely need to lop off at least an inch maybe two from the current housing length . I think that SurferRosa's suggestion to do the front brake housing first then make the rear brake housing match . I'm pretty sure that I had read thru the Sheldon Brown article many years ago but just forgot about it!
When I get the cables cut and mounted, I'll post a couple of pics. Hopefully, it will approach the awesomeness of SurferRosa's Six Ten.
