Pretty active for a town that only has 29,000 people! I am biased but in the summer and fall we have some of the best road riding around. Pretty windy in spring and tooth rattling cold most of the winter. Good roads and little traffic. Lots of climbing if want it or not if you don't. I can do a 86 mile ride from my house (2 stop signs to my start point at a park west of town in the truck) 3200 feet of climbing, two stop signs, no stop lights. Elevation is a bit cruel to lowlanders (town is 7200 feet) with climbs to 10,800 feet. Dead Dog has been around for 18 years more or less. Got a lot bigger last year when we switched from USCF to ACA affiliation. Come on out and have a good ride or two.
