Bikes: The keepers: 1969 Magneet Sprint, 1971 Gitane Tour de France, 1973 Raleigh Twenty, 3 - 1986 Rossins.

Roger Riviere - which, it turned out, were made by Gitane to a spec one step lower than the least expensive Gitane-branded bike sold during the Bike Boom. Turned out to be a nice way for Gitane to be able to sell bikes thru two dealerships in a town (in my case Erie, PA: A. R. Adams Cycle was Schwinn/Raleigh/Columbia/Roger Riviere/Astra, while John Adams Cycle was Schwinn/Gitane) without tripping over territorial limitations.

And, I notice that the Jacques Antequil listed above uses the exact same foil decals, but is equipped more like the bottom of the line Gitane (chrome fork ends, quick releases, Mafac centerpulls). The Riviere could also be found badged as a Concord (we got one or two in by accident on a shipment), absolutely identical bike.
