My brother in law was an intellectual property lawyer for an international company, and I found his stories interesting. He said the company faced the fact that many -- but not all -- Asian countries don't really respect intellectual property as an asset, so many people in those countries have no compunction about copying people's work. I think our culture places too much value in some cases, so we are at opposite ends of the spectrum.
