"Nuff respect" (as we say in the UK) to the cycling fraternity on the other side of the pond. You can count on one hand the times in a year that, in London at least, the mercury dips below 0°C / 32°F.
At the moment, we're having a balmy spell, relatively speaking - temperatures at about 10°C / 50°F. I suppose the
quid pro quo is that we do get a lot of wind (especially when cycling nearby the Thames - I'm pedalling hard to stand still at times), and a fair bit of rain. But snow and ice, thankfully, are rarer than hen's teeth in these parts...
