That's what happened on the map above. I'm leaving the office and I went north on the smaller road and then east on the bigger one.
Make sure the Strava app has acquired GPS before clipping in (It says so in a green band at top of screen on the Android version.)
I dunno much about how adaptive battery works either, but it's there...(in the version of Android my phone runs)
ETA:. I never press stop til I'm done riding for the day. Mainly because I always forget to press go again.
