Festivals/county fairs are goofy- if it's a big big stage- it's all OK because you're so far up and back- it doesn't seem real. Except if the place is empty- you can not notice 5-10,000 people in a space for 10,000- but you sure as hell notice 1 or 2 thousand in a space for 10,000. Otherwise, smaller stages put you right down in it, which can be VERY good.
