Normal rollers can be difficult, and there is a learning curve, BUT...Attaching them to a base board, with wheels, and using bungees makes them totally different and miles easier to ride. There are YouTube videos on how to do this for about $60.

The Inside Ride E-Motion rollers are slick and easy to use, and expenseive. You can convert older rollers to a similar setup without much fuss or mess.
