What is the risk of damaging the bottom bracket on a plastic crabon bike when replacing bottom brackets?

There’s a used frame I might be interested in, but it comes with a sram dub BB. I’ll have to remove that and put a shimano compatible bottom bracket, and I’m weary of doing something that may damage the frame.
