8 year update I guess, I bought the bike, and it was a good bike.
I rode that in Philly, broke and fixed it a bunch. Figured out I liked working on bikes so I started volunteering at the bike coop.
Met some cool people, learned a lot, got a job at a bike shop. Worked there for a couple years as a mechanic.
If I could go back and advise 2012 me, I'd say it's not about the parts, it about where the bike takes you.
So on that metric, it was a good bike
