Nearly identical situation here. 6'3 210 lbs and after a bit of a learning curve I now really like being out of the saddle and climbing. I agree with you about being out over the bars and letting the bike sway under you and unless I'm really pulling up a hill, light hands of the handlebars. I was able to stay out of the saddle up Cadillac Mtn in Acadia park for about 3.5 minutes which isn't great but I still felt pretty great about it considering it's a fairly steep climb and I had a couple of beers the night before. Congrats on the new bike, the research, anticipation is the best, aside from riding it of course
