I was referring to rear brakes with a straight cable; for a front cable, it wouldn't be flopping around, would it? Either way, do you really need a Linear or Nokon for the front? The whole point of those is in BMX is to reduce cable binding when doing barspins and tailwhips; if it's in the front, the cable isn't going to be rotating at all, and will be fixed, thus allowing you to dial in the brakes once it's in place, and negating the usefulness of such a cable.
