Sapporo Beer of Japan Cuts Exports to Increase Sales of Canadian-made Products
Japan's Sapporo Beer is no longer exporting its Yebisu beer to North America as the company plans to focus sales efforts in North America on Sapporo brands made at Sleeman Brewing Ltd of Guelph, Ontario. Brands brewed at Sleeman will be promoted instead as the products are fresher and cost 10% less to deliver. Sopporo began making beer at Sleeman Breweries last January.
