Yes I was thinking maybe Mafacs (whichever can be boss-mounted) might be workable, these bosses are mounted pretty high at least on the fork. Since I have no wheels for this (it's an old Peugeot BTW, perhaps a PC40 but verdict is out) I cannot judge if pads will hit rims except to compare with the Bebos.
Thanks all for the suggestions and the offer, I have brought back some Mafac Racers from storage that I will tinker with for a minute and see what I learn.
