Why apologize “if” you are double-dipping, when you clearly know you are, and are doing it anyway?
That’s like telling your wife, “Honey, I apologize if this is adultery, but I just met this girl whom i’m going to sleep with, ‘cuz I want to.” And expect her to be OK with it, because you did apologize.

You could have said, “I know this is double-dipping. So sue me.” Then I would have read the rest of your post.
