Bikes: none at the moment

Well the r1000 seams like a pure racing machine, it's defintly not as forgiving as the synapse, but if you want to sprint, the r1000 will take as much as you can dish out.

The TruVatiV Rouleur Carbon cranks seem just as stiff as the Si's to me going back and forth from my synapse to the r1000. Especiallywith the oversized outer bearing BB on the r1000. The only downside to the TruVatiV Rouleur Carbon cranks, is that i beleive they do weight a bit more.

I've decided i'm going to go for the r1000 on one condition, they have to trim some weight off the bike, be it, lighter bars, cranks, bb. My logic is, if i'm going ot buy a bike to race on it, it had better be lighter then what i'm ridding now(synapse). So far the r1000 actually does feel a bit heavier so we'll see what we can do, i know part of the weight difference is just the frame being stiffer, and the stiffer slice fork, vs the save fork on the synapse. But i'll see what the LBS guys come up with.
