Sorry about your crash. Hopefully your injuries won't be too painful and you will have a quick recovery so you can get back out on your bike soon. For the benefit of others do you have any idea of what failed on your bike to cause the crash? Did the chain snap or did it fall off? Did something else break?

I am always concerned when out of the saddle standing on the pedals and putting a heavy load on the drivetrain. I also try to keep my butt near the saddle and be ready in case something snaps.
