If the new bike has clinchers, why not switch wheel sets and take the tubulars with you? If not, look for a cheap wheelset locally. If you don't want to keep the 2nd set of tubulars you could list them separately as they do sell.
That is something I considered that would allow me to sell the 172 cheaper. I’ll have the 472 in about two more days and can look at it then.
