Once it's set up properly, I think that hydro disc is much easier and less time consuming to maintain than rim brakes. I know that the old hats can knock out rim brake pad replacements pretty easily, but caliper centering, pad alignment, clearance, toe-in, etc was always a fiddly pain in the ass for me. With hydro, I can't even justify cracking a beer to swap the pads.

Got a line on a Giant Revolt Advanced 2- allegedly arriving mid January. Works out perfectly and lets me worry a little less about trashing my R3 over the winter. Now I just need to find some gravel/dirt
