I've used the front adjuster exactly twice. Once, when i first got the bike. And a second time when a few weeks after I had new cables installed and the chain started rubbing against the front derailleur cage.

Oddly, I've never had to use the adjuster for the rear derailleur which I have set up for friction shifting.
