OP pretty well described my plan for my mountain bike, which I don’t ride at all in the winter (got a fat bike for that).
The wheels are at a shop getting new bearings, the rear shock has been sent out to get a full service (I can’t do the damper myself).
I’ve torn down the rear linkage and serviced the bushings.
I plan to do a rebuild of the fork (not hard on this one), and replace the BB, as well as the needle bearings in the shock mounts.
All of this is just taking care of what I already have, but its all going to be pretty much as good as new when I am done.
In am thinking of treating myself to a new set of good brakes. That is the only thing about the bike I don’t love, and one of the few things I know I can use on my next bike when I finally retire this 26er.
I’ll probably give our road/gravel bikes some love as well.
