Which is about the same chemical makeup of model paint. I say go for it, but you might consider doing a little test, maybe on the part of your carbon seatpost that is way down in your seat tube. It shouldn't do anything, but if it does, you can always cut off 1/2" of your post.

You might also consider a primer coat...but I don't really know which type would be less caustic than the paint.

/I'd actually like some advice on this as well, 'cause, as an ig'nant n00b, I had my FD inward stop misset and threw my chain onto my stays, seat tube and BB...some nice dings out of my red paint.
