A generic comment not specific to Garmins, I and a lot of my friends have had internet glitches since Covid started. We are assuming that all the extra people using internet for work (Zoom meetings) at home or for virtual schooling has over-stressed the internet.
I have an automotive GPS from Garmin, I had a glitchy map update on that several months ago, but I now assume that any big download will be glitchy. Several times a day I lose internet connection from my local internet provider getting overwhelmed.
