Old Raleigh M30-FS
Perhaps someone here has experience and can offer assistance with a question that I have regarding an old-school MTB fork. The bike is originally a Raleigh M30-FS from 1993-95 (I bought it new,but honestly don't remember when).I have upgraded and modified it considerably over the years, and would like to use it again for the value of it's parts is far greater than I could recover by selling it,and to buy something equal, considering that I am basically a roadie just doesn't make sense to me.The problem is that the fork is a 1 inch, threaded type and appears to be obsolete. The fork is worn out,and wasn't of very high quality the last time that I replaced it,about 10 years ago.Does anyone have experience in replacing this with a different type, style or such which would be more readily available? I understand that it probably makes more sense to simply get another bike, but being an old-school, technically-accomplished person,I would rather fix this one,if possible.
thanks,JSW
