I came to a realization today that maybe I ought to try and get the vaccine now. I was thinking I’d be in general public but my job is with a health agency, which I suppose technically qualifies me as working in health care, it’s just that I work on regulatory stuff and not in the delivery of care. But the definitions are pretty hazy and so I think I can get by with my work ID, we’ll see I guess!
One more reason I'm sad they made me return my MGH ID when I left Boston. I'm only a PhD, but waving around a badge that says Dr. himespau with the Mass General logo on it might have gotten me bumped up in line. As it is, even though I teach 200 students, I'm toward the back of the line because they're college and not K-12.
