Holy crap that's a travesty. TBF, there are still a few areas around here that still look like that. I'm pretty sure the ones I'm thinking of, they didn't actually do anything to widen, improve, or even repair the road. They just painted a white strip a couple feet from the curb and figured we could dodge the pot holes and debris.
