Is it normal for the rear brake lever to feel different from the front?

I got a new road bike less than a month ago with rim brakes and internal cable routing (interrupted housing). I don't know if this has been the case since day one, but just yesterday I noticed my right brake lever (for the rear calipers) feels a bit rougher to actuate than the left one. I cleaned the cable housings and put some lubrication and, while it has gotten a bit better, it's still nowhere as smooth as the left brake lever. This got me thinking, since the cable for the rear calipers is a lot longer than the one for the front calipers, there has to be a difference in feel when you actuate them, right?
