Thanks for the advice! I've decided to go with "Suffering builds character" for this ride. I can always walk. As for the tubulars, these aren't so skinny at 28mm and 30 mm. Being a cyclocross guy I have a fondness for fat tubulars at low pressures.
For Cino X I rode 34mm cyclocross tubulars (thanks to [MENTION=114373]northbend[/MENTION] for clueing me in to the sale) and it was my first flat-free Cino - like riding on fluffy little clouds with happy trees in the background.
