I am looking to build a custom bicycle frame through a third party and I am looking for a simple multispeed setup. The problem is that the market is always pushing for more gear$ and complex setups and I enjoy the simplicity of some things.

The hub I had in mind is a modified brompton 112mm hub which can take up to 3 speeds and 4 with some extra parts. There are 4 speed thumb shifters but no derailleurs?

Having said that, are there any good working deraillers in the market that will take less than what they advertise?
