How many chainrings do you have at the front? If 1 it is a 1x if 2 it is a 2x and 3 it is a 3x. If you have more than 150mm of seatpost showing then you may have room but in many cases you will run into the bottle cage bolts if your seat tube is short or the post is long which makes sense as it is a 150mm dropper. You probably want something shorter in travel that is a bit smaller as from what you have said it looks like a 150mm is going to be rather large.
