This made me come back to the little idea in the back of my mind that won't go away - a light, SS, disc brake bike, possibly with gravel-type clearance. So dumb, but so appealing to me.

The track bike is my lightest at around 18lbs and feels lovely and lively. Not quite gravel clearance but 584x38 fits. So I fully endorse that idea
