as far as cranks go, I've always liked the ones based on the 50.4mm bolt circle. The T.A. Cyclotouriste is an example, with other manufacturers making equivalent parts. I've got a modern SunXCD version of this on my Hetchins (to get some hill climbing gears)....

At the last Classic Rendezvous gathering, there were a few Hetchins on display. These sported a Campy Record, a 3 arm steel crank, and a Cyclotouriste style crank. The 3 arm cranks are certainly a suitable style for that vintage. The more modern alloy versions still look pretty nice and are probably easier to find. T.A. made a nice one (seen on Raleigh Competitions for a while), and the Campy Gran Sport is good too (also on the Raleigh Competition G.S.)
