I know this is a heresy but I have always hated the drop-down “racing” handlebars. I would to change the Cannondale to the wider, flat type bars. Great success on the Peugeot. I do not ride competitively and lower back limits my time riding.

The SR900 (bare aluminum frame) has handlebar-mounted shifters as well as brakes.

Any suggestions?
