did you get your HS figured out yet? it was hard to tell in the pic, but isn't the split supposed to be there to act as a wedge between the the bearing race and steer tube??
or was it a crack in the bearing?
it kind of looked like an internal HS or integrated? I don't think you can run a conventional HS
