I can maybe answer part of that. I have an eclair with the same group. It does have the unusual shimano bosses. I wanted to use bar end shifters, so I had to file the down tube barrel adjusters to fit. It works fine enough. I’m unsure about adapters, but you would need them for the Campy style bosses. Worst case scenario you would use a different pair of shifters, but that is usually the least exciting parts of a group, well, to me at least.
