No, the road version is XDR and is a bit longer. However, have you looked to see if you can change the freehub on it? Once that was a rarity but now that manufacturers are having to make wheels compatible with HG, XD, XDR and goodness knows what else I imagine you may find that it's possible. On my Mavic Ksyrium wheels that was a relatively cheap option - about £35 (GB) from memory.
