I had a 1970 Fender Telecaster Thinline. I didn't like the natural finish so I painted it black. Boy I sure regretted that a few years later. Seemed like a good idea at the time, though. This was around the late '70's. My brother still has that guitar. It would be worth around 3500 today, were it not for my "improvements". There's no going back, though.
Tx, it was a lot rougher in person and while it would have stayed that way for me, it will be a beautiful green when we get done. Fork is already stripped and the frame is in the early stages right now, just warmed it up in the house and am going outside to slather it again. It will be beautiful and exactly what he wants when we get done. He appreciates the heritage and all that goes with it but the ratty white was a non starter.

Any thoughts on having silver DT decals made instead of white for the green?
