The lighting makes a big difference. If you look back through my thread, the color on the frame changes significantly depending upon the light. I have maybe half a dozen different shades of spray paint in my garage that I'll never touch again but ended up with paint code:
Pantone 332c code. However, I would spray different brands of paint on scrap pipe, let it dry and then take them outside in the sunlight to see how it looked.
