Aeolus Elite Saddle Placement

Last year I bought a Bontrager Aeolus Elite Saddle to replace the stock Bontrager Affinity saddle. The Affinity saddle was 480mm from nose to the center of the bar - placed by a professional fitter. The Aeolus is 250mm in length compared to the usual 270mm. The directions for the Aeolus said place the nose 10mm further back from where the previous saddle. Thus, I put the Aeolus at 470mm nose to bar even though it is 20mm shorter in length. I like the saddle. It fits me well (even though I am not a racer).

My question to the experts is - in your experience is the placement of the shorter Aeolus back 10mm from where the the previous saddle was normal even though it is 20mm shorter? I know some of the answers may be if I'm comfortable in it then it is good. But, I'm curious if I could be more comfortable and I know I could move it back another 10mm and give it a try.

Just curious of what some of your experiences are with the Aeolus saddle.

Thanks,
KSC
