the rear disc set-up has been great. i don't doubt its integrity at all when i am hammerin' the trails as hard as i do no seriously, i wouldn't do anything other than XC with it. it has been good though. its not for everyone. i went through a lot of trouble to put it on. it is a special hub, so you can't just slap any disc hub together with it. which means you either have to get a wheel custom built or lace it yourself. plus there was some minor dremeling i had to do to the mount because they can't make a generic mount that would fit every frame out there. however, it was done with precision and tastefully. you wouldn't know if you were able to see it up close. i wasn't ready to give up my older hardtail for disc. i do believe this product and frames with no tabs are a dying breed but in 1995 discs were not prevalent. i doubt WOOdman or Brake Therapy sell that many units anymore.

WOOdman customer service was excellent. i give it 5 stars, but only to those experienced.

thank you...i tried to keep it fairly straight forward and "clean". i know the brakes are overkill...but that's okay cause they're pretty sweet!!!
...and i know i have stuff on it that is not conducive to XC and yet above i said i would only use it for XC, but oh well. when i retire the frame and get another bike i won't be so "mixed" up. the e.thirteen guide is nice too. i love the 1 X 8 set-up. i don't think i'd ever do differently other than an internal shift hub.

it is pretty mint. to be honest, it was stored for much of its life. then, it seems for some reason it has sentimental value to me so i don't exactly beat it up.

honestly, i have been in school a long time and it takes away from my riding. someday that will change. i am always on this forum because i am studying at my computer and i take frequent mental breaks so i don't go
