If the current Tourney derailleur shifts adequately the difference from switching to Alivio may not be perceptible. New cables and housings will often make a significant improvement in shifting, however.
that's precisely what I want to know thank you. I will be using the 9 speed alivio RD effectively as a 7-speed rear derailleur and I wanted to know whether it would shift better than the tourney 7 speed rear derailleur
