having any weight on the rear causes wagging, doesn't have much to do with how secured into a basket that weight might be. too many people make the mistake of assuming carrying stuff must start on the rear of the bike. terribly imbalanced way to ride. my basket does not block my view of the road, as i am not staring down at my tire...are you? and no, i exclusively use things i wouldn't ever recommend.
