Don't expect any consistency in bike frame sizes.
I recently bought a new road bike, a 2021 Trek Emonda. Trek's size guide recommended size Medium. I'm 5' 7" (170 cm). The size guides for most other brands recommended size Small.
I went to two different local Trek stores and tried 2021 Emondas in both size Small and size Medium. The Small felt cramped.
I brought my old Trek 2200 to the Trek store and asked the mechanic to match the position. He said the 2021 Emonda size Medium could match the position, but not the 2020 Emonda size Medium. The 2021 Emonda is built to Trek's H1.5 standard. The 2020 Emonda is built to Trek's H2 standard and has a higher front end.
