Jeff, I think that was great.

A local legend, the Bike Man, just died, and there was a moving obituary in the local paper. He fixed and gave away hundreds of bikes to kids and adults in the Lansing area. We also have a couple members here who do the same.

One BF member sent me a pair of studded tires, unasked, because he thought they would help me out. That was one of the nicest things anybody ever did for me, and the tires continue to give me a lot of use and happiness. I am looking for ways to "pay it forward."

It's a shame that a couple old curmudgeons want to question anybody with good intentions. I'm glad you didn't let them bother you! I have a lot of respect for you from this post and others.
